A global network of people of action

Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbours, friends, leaders and problem-solvers who come together to create lasting change, in their own communities and around the world. Founded in Chicago in 1905 by Paul Harris, Rotary today brings together more than 45,000 clubs in over 200 countries and regions.

Who We Are

Rotary members are business, professional and community leaders from every background. Each club is independent and chooses the local and international projects that matter most to its members and community.

What We Do

Rotary members combine their skills and resources to tackle real problems. Rotary has led the global fight to end polio since 1985, helping reduce cases by more than 99.9% worldwide.

Our Causes

Rotary focuses on seven areas: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies, and protecting the environment.
