Our Club
Who Are We?
Service Above Self since 1913
The Rotary Club of Montreal brings together business, professional and community leaders who want to make a real difference, here in Greater Montreal and around the world. As the first Rotary club in Quebec and one of the oldest in Canada, we combine more than a century of tradition with an open, bilingual and welcoming spirit. Our members meet regularly to share ideas, build lasting friendships and turn them into concrete projects.

Our History
On September 25, 1913, nine Montreal businessmen met to create a Rotary club in their city. The Rotary Club of Montreal was officially founded on October 2, 1913, the first in Quebec and the 85th Rotary club in the world. Over the decades, our members helped spread Rotary across Quebec, Ontario and New York State. The club gave Rotary International one of its presidents, John Nelson, in 1933. More than 110 years later, the same spirit of service drives everything we do.
